Gerald Metro Obituary

Gerald Melvin Metro, 75, of Crab Orchard passed away Sunday March 14, 2021 in Berea.  Born March 19, 1945 in Pontiac, Michigan, Gerald was a  son of the late Melvin & Lucetta Knickerbocker Metro.  A self employed carpenter, Gerald enjoyed  woodworking and was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Heidi Sue Rice, a son in law, the late David Rice, and two sisters, the late Betty Crichton & the late Barbara Kellogg.

His survivors include his wife, Wanda Taulbee Metro,  a daughter, Tracey (Spencer) Huebshman of Lancaster, a brother James (the late Becky) Metro of Alabama, and 5 grandchildren, Tecumseh, Kyra, Tahlia Huebshman, Noah (Kayla) Rice & Hannah Rice.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Mr. Spencer Huebshman with burial following in Paint Lick Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Spencer, Tecumseh, Tracey & Kyra Huebshman & Noah Rice. Visitation will be from 1—3 PM Saturday at the funeral home. In accordance with state mandates facial coverings are required to attend services.
