Obituary

Hilda Merrell Naylor, 86, of Stanford, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023 in Danville. Born March 9, 1937 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Jasper Gid Dye & Pina Lou Clarkston Dye. Hilda was a homemaker , a member of Gilbert’s Creek Baptist Church and had been attending Parlor Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Louis Merrell & James Naylor. Her survivors include a daughter, Deborah Faye (Charles) Manning of Eubank, five sons, Arnold Lewis (Sarah) Merrell of Stanford, Jackie Russell (Vicky) Merrell of Lancaster, Gary Randall Merrell of Hustonville, Jeffrey Darryl Merrell & Thomas Gid (Leisia) Merrell, both of Stanford, three sisters, Barbara Barron, Shirley Bingham & Linda Hall, all of Eubank, 20 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren & 7 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 18, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Mr. Robbie Barron, with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5—9 PM Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the funeral home. Friends and family may leave condolences or special memories on her tribute page at www.ramsey-young.com
