Irvin H. Winchester, 80, of Nicholasville, husband of Peggy McDaniel Winchester, passed away Friday, May 07, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Born on Wednesday, October 16, 1940, he was a son of the late Hubert & Eva Burton Winchester. Irvin was a wire drawer, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Leonard & Willard Winchester, and one sister, Ina Sherrow.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Peggy McDaniel Winchester; daughters, Autumn “Buffy” (Chad) Lane, of Lancaster, Tracy Halderman, of Nicholasville; sons, Richard Halderman, of Lexington, Robert Halderman, of Nicholasville; grandchildren, James, Dillon, & Chance Lane, Bryce, Gage, & Keegan Halderman; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Jax, Kendal, Hunter, & Lola Lane, & eleven other special grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Irvin will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Menser officiating and burial following at Wilmore Cemetery. Pallbearers include, Dillon Lane, Chance Lane, James Lane, Donald “Eggie” Dunn, Jordan Peel, Larry Butcher, & Tom Morton. Honorary pallbearers include the rest of Irvin’s grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until service time on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
