Jane W. Broaddus Logan, 98 of Lancaster, went to eternal rest March 8, 2022 at Ephraim McDowell Hospital, Danville, KY. Born December 25th, 1923 in Madison, KY to the late C.C. & Lula Broaddus. Jane was the widow of Robert J. Logan. Preceded in death by brother C. J. “Buck” Broaddus (Mary) sister Catherine Hardenbrook (Virgil). Survived by two children, Robert Coy Logan, of Lancaster, KY, Connie Rihanek (Phillip D.) Jacksonville, FL. Four Grandchildren, Lana Ogle (Scott), Lisa Rogers (Pat), Sherry Baker (Robert) & Larry D. Rihanek (Kimberly). Seven Great-Grandchildren, Micaiah Ogle, Abigail Ogle, Logan West, Faith Rihanek, Troy Rihanek, Maddelyne Wright & Audrey Wright. Siblings include sisters, Anna Mae Julian (the late William) Gwendolyn Duerson (the late Carl) and brother Ernest “Buzzy” Broaddus (Geneva) and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Jane was most recently employed by Garrard Co. Health Department, she was also a homemaker and a farmer. Prior to her death, she was the oldest member of Hyattsville Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School over 40 years, sang in the choir & served on multiple committees. In addition to her church, she enjoyed her family, gardening, UK basketball & playing ROOK.
Visitation will be at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home 10a-2p on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Funeral 2:00p Saturday. Officiated by Bro. Bryan Watts & Bro. John Pennick. Burial following in the Lancaster Cemetery. Serving Pallbearers; Logan West, Larry D. Rihanek, Marty Broaddus, Aaron Broaddus, Stephen Rogers, John Duerson. Honorary Pallbearers; Her Friendship Sunday School Class and members of Hyattsville Baptist Church & Special friend Ruth Tracy.
Jane’s smile and loving heart will be missed by all.
