Jesse Wayne Doan

Jesse Wayne Doan, 76, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 at The VA Medical Center in Lexington. Born Sunday, April 22, 1945 in Mt. Vernon, he was a son of the late Fred Lewis Doan & Delfia Sara May. Jesse was a painter, and was in the 82nd Airborne Division, specializing in parachute assault operations in the United States Army. Jesse enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of Lancaster First Assembly Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Wayne Doan; brother, Michael Terry May;  sister, Marie Doan Paytes, and step-parents, Faye Doan, & Okie May. Survivors include his wife, Arlene Perry Doan; sons, Clayton (Trisha) Doan, of Nicholasville, Jamie Doan & Howard Doan, both of Ohio, Wesley Doan, of Danville; daughters, Pam & Sheila Doan, of Lancaster; brothers, Chester Ray Doan and Leroy May, both of Ohio; sister-in-law, Linda May; grandchildren, Zach (Tori) Doan, Corey (Brianna) Lay, Chris (Tara) Sebastian, J.T. (Nicole) Prewitt, Justin (Blake) Prewitt, Joseph Brown, Derrick Smith, Tyler Roberts, Jeremiah Gregory, Skyler Faith Doan, Sophia Danielle Doan, Robert Wesley Doan, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until service time on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
