John Causey

John Causey, 87, of Paint Lick, husband of Vinnie Brinegar Causey, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Born Saturday, October 6, 1934, he was a son of the late C.B. & Mary Ann Wells Causey. John was a former employee for TRANE, and was a member of Leavell Green Christian Church. John enjoyed farming, and was a United States Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Herbert, Raymond, Sam, Jim & Bill Causey; sisters, Lizzie Adams, Goldie Tudor & May Lamb.

Survivors other than his wife include a son, Eddie Causey, of Cartersville; daughter, Debbie (Barry) Valentour, of Cartersville; step-daughter, Kittie Sue (Tommy) Reffitt, of Irvine; grandchildren, Stacy (B.J.) Robinson, Jamie (Rachel) Valentour & Travis (Danelle) Valentour, Tonya Causey, Derek Causey & Kevin (Shawnta) Causey, Bill (Beth)  Hall; great-grandchildren, Johnathan & Logan Robinson, Nathan, Matthew, Makenzie, Eli & Annzley Valentour, Jakob Causey, Hallie Clark, Jordan Causey, Wesley Hale, Scarlett Causey & Avery Hall, as well as a host of nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Leavell Green Christian Church with Bro. Harvy Spry officiating and burial following at Cartersville Cemetery. Full military honors will be performed by Caswell Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion. Pallbearers include Jamie Valentour, Travis Valentour, Kevin Causey, Derek Causey, B.J. Robinson & Bill Hall. Honorary pallbearers are his great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM Monday, January 31, 2022 at Leavell Green Christian Church.
