Kenneth "K.A." Montgomery

Kenneth “K.A.” Montgomery and Betty Ann Moore Montgomery departed this life within mere hours of each other on Thursday, August 17, 2023. The children of Raymond & Mary Doolin Montgomery and Robert & Helen Coffey Moore, they were married December 7, 1957. Kenneth & Betty were the parents of Rob (Lora) Montgomery and Pam (Mike) Oakley , both of Lancaster. Proud grandparents, they leave behind Robin (Oscar) Montgomery De Moreno, Rebecca Montgomery, Alex (Goda) Montgomery, Reesha (Jesse) Sexton & Jessica (John) Allen, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. They were preceded in death by their grandson, Grant Oakley. Kenneth is also survived by a brother, James (Bertha) Montgomery, a sister in law, Betty Sue Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Margaret Hughes, Louella Scott, Doris Rose Hardwick, John Montgomery & Bobby Montgomery . Betty is also survived by her sister, Freda Pendleton. She was also preceded in death by sister, Ada Jordan. Kenneth and Betty will be buried together in Paint Lick Cemetery. Graveside services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, August 22, 2023 by Revs. Gary Durham & Bryan Watts. Pallbearers will be Wayne Combs, Jerry Combs, Greg Combs, Lewis Long, Chris Butner and Dustin Butner. Honorary pallbearers will be Nancy Long, Neal and Leslie Beth, Bud Flynn, Phillip and Mary Harris, Brenda Grant, Darrell and Kenny Bolton, Billy Joe and Paulette Osborne, Rob Day, Rebecca Morrison, Ronnie Newby, Bobby Ray Prewitt, Debbie Sebastian, Nancy, Sharon, Steve, Robin, Justin and Chelsea Combs, Will Davidson, Robert and Karen Foster, Brittany, Phyllis and Derrick Butner, Lynn Oliver and their Hyattsville Church Family In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the Grant Oakley Memorial Fund, P O Box 211 Lancaster, Ky 40444 Friends and family may leave condolences or special memories on their tribute pages at www.ramsey-young.com
