Mary Ellen Baker

Mary Ellen Baker, 75, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022 at her home. Born October 18, 1946 in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Ed & Lula Mae Shearer Camel. Mary was a homemaker, and loved spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed karaoke, sewing, shopping, and gardening. Mary was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ed Johnson; sons, Larry Johnson & Tommy Baker; daughters, Margaret Hatcher & Ruby Mae Egner.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Edward Baker; sons, Marvin Johnson, Johnny (Del-leda) Johnson, Joey Johnson, Huey (April) Egner, Edward (Denisha) Johnson, Jason Johnson; daughters, Barbara (Albert) Ball, Susan (John) Arnold, Meredith (Bill) Debord, Michelle (Brad) Hollifield, Sherry (John Grimes) Johnson, Christy Martinez; brothers, Lucian Camel, John Camel, and Ernest (Nancy) Camel; 46 grandchildren, and 54 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Daryl Hodge officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Seth Combs, Brad Hollifield, Michael Monroy, Steven Debord, Bill Debord, Dana Deatherage, Johnny Johnson, & Bruce Lewis. Honorary pallbearers include Eddie Montgomery & Jim Dacci. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
