Obituary
Michael Warren Hicks, 56, of Stanford, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022 at UK Medical Center in Lexington. Born November 18, 1965 in Garrard County, Mike was the son of the late James W. Hicks and Phyllis J. Wilmot Hicks of Lancaster. He had been a lifelong farmer and a member of Hedgeville Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother , he is survived by a son, Quince (Jaylan Sowders) Hicks of Stanford, a sister, Sherry (Durand) Brown of Paint Lick, two grandchildren, Ollie Kate & Warren Hicks, a niece, Amy (Kenny) Allen, and three great nieces and nephews, Noah, Olivia & MaKenna and a special friend, Becky Hacker.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 20, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Daryl Hodge, with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Sudduth, Steve Montgomery, Billy Moberly, Danny Harmon, Quince Hicks, Irvin Cochran, Durand Brown & David Rankin. Honorary bearers will be Stanley Broughton, Wayne & Larry Berry, Jimmy Vines & Jeff Wright. Visitation will be from 4—8 PM Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the funeral home.
