Tommy Wilson Ward, 82, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. Born to the late Otis & Bertie Casey Ward on Tuesday, January 23, 1940 in Richmond. Tommy served in the United States Army and was a former truck driver for a cattle business and the state. Tommy was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and yard sales.
He is survived by a son, Jerry Ward, of Lancaster; daughters, Sharon (Jerry) Combs, of Crab Orchard, Tammy (Dudley) Hacker, of Lancaster, and Sandy (John McGinnis) Peden, of Tomah, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Steven & Justin Combs, Dudley Hacker II, Casey Hacker, Rodney Ward, Sheena Ward, Anastasia Morrisey, and Trent Yank; seventeen great-grandchildren, two great-great– grandchildren, and a special friend, Betty Curtis, of Lancaster.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Steven Combs, Justin Combs, Dudley Hacker II, Rodney Ward, Dudley Hacker, and Jerry Combs. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM — 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
