Vivian Roark Obituary

Vivian McKinney Roark, 99, of Lancaster and widow of Edward P. Roark, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 at her residence. Vivian was born February 9, 1924 in Morgan County, Kentucky to the late Bruce & Florence Cecil McKinney. In addition to her  husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lexie, Stewart & Chester McKinney, a sister,  Vennie Lawson , nephews, Harold McKinney & David Lawson,  and a niece, Geraldine McKinney.

She is survived by her niece,  Sherry (The late Harold) Handy of Springboro, Ohio and special friends, Louise Barrett & Debbie Barrett Hoskins of Lancaster.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 21, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Mike Denny with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12 Noon until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jim Roark, Bill Boyd, Willie Hoskins, Norman Davis, Danny Irvin & Mark Metcalf. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Decker, Caywood Metcalf, Gary Clark, Joe Beck, Jamie Owens, Charlotte Conn, Pat Bolton, Cindy Hager & Louise Barrett.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may go to the Garrard County Animal Shelter, to honor her love of animals. Friends and family may leave condolences or special memories on her tribute page at www.ramsey-young.com
